Populus Alba - Dark Age of Camelot

I. Statement of MISSION
The honorable guild of Populus Alba (People of Albion) shall be devoted to promoting the betterment of the Albion realm and keep it safe from invaders. The guild should provide an avenue for improving skills in order to form a formidable force against all its enemies. It should also actively encourage mutual support and constructive feedback among its members, so that personal satisfaction, improvements in quality of life, and the enrichment of the realm might all be abetted.
The name Populus Alba, People of Albion, is used to display our devotion to our realm. We are made up of all, consideration to race and class is not a factor of membership.
II. On Officers
A. The Guild Master should actively promote activities, which support the guild's purposes, he is solely responsible for the scheduling of official meetings, and he or his chosen representative will run them in an orderly and fair fashion. The head is also responsible for overseeing the duties of the other officers.
B. Guild officers will carry out assigned tasks to the best of their efforts. Officers will be assigned personnel whom he or she is responsible for. Officers will direct his commanding elements to train and prepare non-commissioned officers, regulars, and recruits for engagement with domestic and foreign enemies.
C. An officer will act in accordance to their rank and display integrity and manners befitting the rank and title.
D. Guild officers shall be selected by merit of their deeds and contributions to the guild. Officers will receive direction by their superiors, who in turn, receive word from the Guild Master. A member’s level of learning will play no part in promotions.
E. Officers from the rank of Captain and onward have the ability to invite realms-people to become recruits in Populus Alba. The officers have been given a level of responsibility that assumes that invitations will not be extended arbitrarily.
III. On Non-Commissioned Officers
A. The Non-Commissioned Officer is the first in a chain of command that guild regulars and recruits deal with on the training field and battlefield. They will practice drill and tactics with their subordinate units.
B. Non-Commissioned Officers will be selected from the ranks of regulars (Huscarl and below). NCOs will have the opportunity to become officers with displays of integrity, courage, and organization.
C. The position of Non-Commissioned Officer is one of the most important within the guild. They are mentors and role models for the lower ranked members of Populus Alba.
D. If subordinates have difficulty within the guild due to insubordination or lack of knowledge, it is the Non-Commissioned Officer’s duty to resolve these problems on a personal level with the individual before the guilds officer ranks are notified. If resolution on that level is not possible the officer ranks will take action.
E. Non-Commissioned Officers will carry out orders given by Officers in an orderly manner.
IV. On Regulars, Recruits, and Membership
A. Invitations to become members of Populus Alba can be extended by officers of the rank of Captain and above.
B. Prospective members should have had one-on-one contact with an existing member. This could be done either through traveling together or multiple conversations. Any guild member can submit a potential recruit’s name to a guild officer.
C. New members will be brought in at the Fyrd Recruit ranking. After a period of observation and adventuring with other guild members the recruit will be eligible for promotion. NCOs will ensure that the recruits are cared for in the respect of promotions and recognition.
D. Regular members will be eligible for promotions with displays of dedication to the guild, integrity, and leadership skills.
V. On Guild Emblem, Colors, Equipment and Dues
A. The guilds emblem is four crossed swords; the swords represent the four races of Albion combined in efforts to keep our cultures alive.
B. Our guild colors Red, White and Black. Red symbolizing the blood we are willing to shed for our realm. White is our faith in Albion. Black is death that is ever present in our battles against foreign invaders.
C. All are encouraged to wear the guild emblem and colors when outfitted. Scouts and infiltrators while in battle on the Frontiers are not required to wear the colored garments for reasons of concealment and espionage.
D. Equipment no longer usable by a member should be passed down to those who can utilize it.
E. Guild dues will be required of members in the form of a 10% tithe. These funds will go towards guild expenditures and are absolutely forbidden for personal use by individual members. Loans from the guild bank will not be allowed. Dues will go towards equipment emblems, guildhall, and Frontier battles.
VI. On Conduct and Co-operation
A. As mentioned earlier, all members are expected to act in a decent, cordial manner when in the presence of others. All members are representatives of the guild.
B. When possible, wear the guild emblem. It is a sign of pride and unity amongst our people. Emblazoned equipment and dyes will be provided by the guild if members are unable to acquire a piece themselves.
C. Guild mates are to group with each other on all expeditions if possible. Spending time together in battle contribute towards order and understanding the capabilities of each guild member.
D. When adventuring with a group outside of the guild and you come into contact with an interesting item remember to ask your groupmates before keep it for yourself or a guild member. Courtesy above greed has its benefits in the long run.
